Teresa was born in the Monterey Bay Area, where the natural beauty and eclectic people of the coastline inspired her early fascination with human expression.
Her frequent visits to art galleries throughout her childhood deepened her appreciation for fine art and sparked a lifelong passion for painting.
This early exposure and determination led to the development of her remarkable ability to capture the depth and personality of her subjects. Drawing inspiration from portrait masters such as Anders Zorn, John Singer Sargent, and Diego Velázquez, Teresa refined her craft through training with modern masters.
Teresa’s work has been recognized by the Portrait Society of America, reflecting her growing prominence in the field. She now creates commissioned portraits from her studio in the coastal village of Capitola, where her love of observation and artistry continues to flourish.
